P7 Transition
We have evaluated our P7-S1 transition taking on board all pupil and parent comments. To help our pupils make a seamless move to Secondary School we have implemented the following-:
Continue with regular homework.
Have individual timetables which ensure we work to tighter timesales in class and include many 50 minute periods.
Have the opportunity to speak to Marr pupils at an informal question and answer session
Create a floor plan of Marr College and set challenge tasks to navigate around different subject departments.
Meet P.C. Andy Harrower, Marr Campus Cop and the School Nurse, Claire McMorland to discuss pastoral care issues.
Support our development in Numeracy and Maths by experiencing maths with Secondary staff.
Complete our profiles with support from Moss McBean and be able to talk confidently about out achievements.
Our P7 Transitiion Group will host a Parents Information evening in May which will allow you the chance to find out more about P7 profiles and share them with your child/children.
